Government of India released a Notification on 24th June 2020 under the Ordinance which, inter alia, extended the last date for all ITR's for the F.Y.2019-20 (A.Y.2020-21) to 30th Nov 2020. Hence the ITR which were required to be submitted & filed by 31st July 2020 and 31st October 2020 are required to be submitted & filed by 30th November 2020. Simultaneously the last date for submitting various audit reports including tax audit report under the Income-tax Act 1961 has also been extended to 31st October 2020.
The last date for submitting of Income Tax Returns for the taxpayers (including their partners) who are compulsorily to get their accounts audited [for whom the due date (i.e. Before the extension of due date by the said notification) as per the Act is 31st October 2020] has been extended to 31st January 2021.
